Nangarhar – June 02, 2026: The Speenghar Region dominated the Mis-e-Ainak Region with a terrific all-round performance to register their 4th victory, secure the top spot in the table and make it to the Grand Finale of the e& Regional List A Tournament 2026, powered by SuperCola.

Earlier in the morning, the Mis-e-Ainak Region won the toss and opted to field first. After opting to bat first, the Mis-e-Ainak Region started well, but was later restricted to 252/10 runs in the first inning. Major contributors with the bat were the skipper Shahidullah Kamal (73), Ibrahim Zadran (57), and Khalid Taniwal (52), all of whom made half-centuries. On the other hand, Ibrahim Abdulrahimzai (3/32) and Zahir Khan (3/60) picked up three wickets each, whereas Ismat Alam (2/24) and Arab Gul Momand (2/51) returned with two wickets each for the Speenghar Region.

In reply, the Speenghar Region put on a remarkable batting performance to chase down the total in the last over to complete a 3-wicket victory, atop the points table and join the Amo Region in the Grand Finale, which is scheduled to be played on June 04 at the Ghazi Amanullah Khan Cricket Stadium in Nangarhar province.

The skipper Darwish Rasooli (100*), Akbar Musazai (48) and Wafiullah Tarakhil (41) were the standout performers with the bat for the Speenghar Region in the second inning of the game. Abdullah Tarakhil (2/35), Naseer Khan Maroofkhil (1/38) and Majboor Kharoti (2/47) struck for the Mis-e-Ainak Region, but were unable to defend their total, facing a 3-wicket defeat in the end.

Darwish Rasooli, the skipper of the Speenghar Region, was awarded the Player of the Match.

This also marked the end of the double round-robin stage of the competition, which saw the Speenghar and Amo Regions outplaying the other three teams and making it to the final of the event as the two top teams. Both teams will lock horns in the Grand Finale of the 9th edition of the Regional List A Tournament on Thursday, June 04 at the same venue.
