Nangarhar – May 31, 2026: The Speenghar Region and the Amo Region have registered outstanding performances to beat the Bost and the Mis-e-Ainak Regions with narrow margins, respectively, to make the race to the final more interesting.
Match 12 of the tournament saw
the Speenghar Region taking on the Bost Region. The Speenghar Region won the
toss and opted to bowl first. Karim Janat (85) and Sabir Gurbaz (51*) scored
half-centuries, but the show in the first inning was stolen by Yamin Ahmadzai
(4/28), who put on a terrific bowling effort to reduce the Bost Region to
222/10 runs in the first inning.
In reply, the Speenghar Region,
banking on half-centuries from the skipper Darwish Rasooli (87) and Wafiullah
Tarakhil (50), held their nerves to take the game home by 3 wickets in the
final over of the game. Khalil Gurbaz (3/51) and Abdullah Ahmadzai (2/54)
shared five wickets among them, but they were unable to defend the total and
conceded their third loss of the tournament. Darwish Rasooli was awarded Player
of the Match for his match-winning batting effort.
The 13th game of the e&
Regional List A Tournament 2026, powered by SuperCola, was held between the
Mis-e-Ainak Region and the Amo Regional teams. Mis-e-Ainak Region won the toss
and opted to bowl first. Imran Mir (117) scored a blistering hundred, whereas
Mohammad Ishaq (59) and Faisal Khan Shinozada (58) scored half-centuries to
push the Amo Region's total to 319/4 runs on the board in the first inning.
Muhibullah Zurmati (2/52) was the pick of the bowlers for the Mis-e-Ainak
Region.
In reply, the Mis-e-Ainak Region
put on a brilliant batting effort, banking on a magnificent hundred from Allah Noor
(109) and a half-century from Ibrahim Zadran (61), and got so close to the
target but fell short by 4 runs in the end. Javed Sayedi (3/37) and Izharulhaq
Naveed (3/83) picked up three wickets each, whereas Ikramullah Momand (2/93)
and Fazal Haq Farooqi (1/46) shared three wickets among them to help the Amo
Region defend their total by 4 runs and register their 2nd win in the
tournament. Imran Mir was awarded the Player of the Match for his magnificent
innings.
Match 14 of the competition will
see the Amo Region face off against the Band-e-Amir Region in a game where the
winner will make it to the final of the e& Regional List A Tournament 2026,
powered by Super Cola.
